    Two artists who labeled themselves 'The best of both worlds', Jay-Z - hip-hops biggest entrepreneur and R. Kelly - the man who brought RnB to the masses. However despite their obvious talents the music rarely reached the same level as their solo work.

    Mar 19,  · Instead of taking R&B and rap to new heights, Best of Both Worlds proves, once again, that (graphic) sex is the only thing on R. Kelly's mind and Jay-Z can probably rhyme in his sleep. There are tolerable moments, à la the title track, which features R. Kelly's trademark sweeping melodies and Jay-Z's deadpan wit, but even some good hooks and poignant observations can't excuse insultingly /5().

    Both R. Kelly and Jay-Z were flying high around the time of The Best of Both Worlds, so the idea of a collaborative album was a reasonable one, following up the success of The Blueprint () and TPcom (). The Best of Both Worlds falls terribly short of both artists' high standards, unfortunately, sounding as if the vocals were phoned in, which in the case of Jay-Z they probably were, for his .
